pre landing mint/candy
AA recently changed the pre landing mint/candy from a soft (chewable) item to a hard (tooth breaking) item. I normally open the wrapper and pop one in my mouth--I sometimes immediately chew on one. The first time I encountered the change it's a good thing I looked first.
I wonder how many flyers have cracked teeth?

Seriously, though, how about a photo of these new mints? BTW, the old mints got pretty brutally hard if you let them age in your suitcase for 6 months or so. Sure you didn't just get a stale one?

Must be this week. Had them on all four flights. Didn't have them last week. But my flights this week went through DFW and last week went through ORD and LAX.
Maybe its associated with the catering company problems

Of course AA ought to do a lengthy warning announcement, hand out a written warning in seven languages and require a signature on a receipt from each passenger acknowledging that the passenger accepts the risks associated with the food item in question.

I've had these new mints a couple of times - including PHL-DEN last night. They are pretty terrible.
At first I was hoping it was some sort of temporary change or miscater. Doesn't look that way. Too bad.
