Fewest Segments to EXP?
So obviously the theoretically lowest number of segments is AA flight number LAX-SYD in J x5... but in practice what's the lowest number of segments Flyertalkers have flown to qualify for EXP? I have 8 EQS and I'm on 88,000 EQMs and I expect my ninth segment will requalify me...

With maxed credit card spend, you'd need 6k EQD and 80k EQM by way of flights. So... whatever that breaks down to be. Seems like it could be very few (disregard this at least four segments need to be on AA). Three round trips LAX - HKG in J?
Edit: Two in Full Fare F. That's four segments. > 80k EQM

For all the answers, EQDs are unlikely to be a problem.

The actual min is zero flights. All you have to do is be a senior executive at my company (or any very large firm) or be responsible for negotiating travel contracts for the company.
Note: I do not fall into that category. I fly north-south, and average about 1,200 EQM per segment.

I knew you meant that. It was just meant as a sidebar. I had hoped the would convey that.

In the end I made EXP this year in 10 segments, including one DCA-LGA sector in coach
Did anyone manage a real-world requalification (requiring the 12k EQD and 100k EQM!) with fewer EQS?

Would be able to make a decent run next year, but wife wanted to go to STL for New Years (family), so I'll start off with STL-DFW-BTR right away on 1/1.
There should be some sort of medal (with an extra 50k award miles or something) for making it in 10 segments or less!

Anyone make EXP in <10 segments?
Just for fun, I wonder what would be the record for lowest segments that one has flown to make EXP?
Over on United, one could do 2 LAX-SIN roundtrips in Full J and make 1K (4 segments).
