Flight changes Nov 2015 through 2016 - Deleted, Gone to Seasonal, Downgauged, etc.

Rather than listing each flight deleted from the new AA flight schedule, gone seasonal or questionable, we've started a new thread to add all of them here. Adding those we know of to the wiki will make it much easier to know, given it's likely there will be significant changes.

See Flight Changes Nov 2015 - 2016 - New, Added (consolidated) for AA flights ADDED to the schedule.

Flight Changes Nov 2015 - 2016 - Deleted, Seasonal, Gone, Downgauged (consolidated)

My wife and I are trying to book a vacation flight to YQB next summer (July 2016). I know this has been a seasonal route in the past flown over summer. I search around, but could not find confirmation (positive or negative) if this flight will resume in 2016. According to EF, there are flights through Jan 4, 2016. Does anyone have further information?

I took my family to Quebec City for the summer festival in July. We were supposed to fly via PHL, but our original flights were cancelled in both directions. We had to spend the night in Philadelphia on the way there and were booked on another PHL-YQB flight the next day. On the way back, we were rerouted through Montreal on Air Canada. We were told that the reason for the first cancellation (which followed a long delay) was that the customs agents could not stay late at YQB. I don't recall the reason for the other cancellation. However, I do remember thinking that the route may not last much longer, since it was so easy to accommodate all the cancelled passengers. I would never fly that route again even if they continue it.

P.S. Quebec City is wonderful. Just fly Air Canada.

AA often does not load seasonal routes until a bit later in the fall/winter. No announcement has been made about cancellation but for 2015 the route was cut from 3 to 2 weekly, but it does seem like the operating season was extended if it is running through Jan 4.

One flight DFW-MCI transitioning to Eagle (operated by Mesa)

Began earlier this month as one daily trip increasing to two in December.

Also the MIA flight will remain 3-4x WEEKLY service even in the peak winter season.

How is one flight a day (sometimes two flights a day) out of an average of 8 daily flights from DFW to MCI considered DFW/MCI transitioning to Eagle?

The OP did not say that DFW-MCI was transitioning to Eagle, the OP said that one flight on that route was transitioning to Eagle.

"Transitioning" was probably a poor word choice, as the thread title could have been "One mainline DFW-MCI flight becomes (or changes to) an Eagle flight."

Any recent news on this? Was looking and it looks like after December no flights at all loaded. AA lists it as a destination so hopefully it comes back soon!

It would be very disappointing if they cancelled this route. I just took it in July and I must say Quebec City and the region around it was very nice!

DFW-YEG gone as of Feb. 10th. Will only be served from PHX after that date.

Now looks like it has been increased to 3/8 flights on regionals, one of which is an Envoy-operated single-cabin ER4 other two are Mesa-operated CR9s.

ORD-BOS (two trips) going to Eagle

Beginning December 17, two ORD-BOS-ORD trips will operate with YX E-175 replacing the long standing all 737-800 service on this route. AA has never operated Eagle in this market, until the merger, BOS hadn't seen Eagle service since November 2011 which was limited to LGA/JFK/YYZ.

This is a disappointing but noteworthy change. We don't need to hear "the 738 seats an uncomfortable...the S80 was so much better" and how "the 175 is so much more comfortable with single F seats and 2-2 Y"

AA 4315 ORD 08:35 BOS 12:00 E75
AA 4315 BOS 12:31 ORD 14:23 E75

AA 4367 ORD 15:23 BOS 18:48 E75
AA 4367 BOS 19:21 ORD 21:28 E75

Wasn't there once a union contract on the old AA (I remember it being talked about here) that Eagle service was not allowed on hub-hub flights plus BOS and SFO?

When did that agreement go?
