The seventh Dreamliner is on its way to DFW.
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL9701 N806AA is in "production testing" and was supposed to have been delivered by now. Seat delays are still a problem. It did make a test flight today. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N806AA ORD-NRT will need this aircraft to be delivered within the next three weeks at the most in order to keep one spare Dreamliner. N808AN and N809AN are both in pre-flight prep while N810AN is under final assembly. Its expected to roll out of the assembly line before the end of the month. These aircraft are intended to cover LAX-PVG, LAX-GRU. |
The eighth Dreamliner, N806AA, was delivered on July 31, arriving at DFW just before midnight. The ninth, N808AN, is scheduled to be delivered this Thursday, much quicker than all previous Dreamliners. The issue with the seating might be coming around. Meanwhile, N805AN suffered through a hail storm after takeoff from PEK, damaging its nose. It is undergoing repairs, unknown when it will return to service. Fortunately, with N808AN scheduled to be delivered earlier than anticipated, ORD-NRT should switchover to the 787 as planned on August 18.

Another Dreamliner was delivered today. AA now has 10 of these in the fleet with three left to be delivered this year. With this delivery, AA is halfway complete with 788 deliveries. (Its now down to 22 789s on order). The eleventh is still in pre-flight prep (hopefully will be delivered next month) and the twelfth is undergoing final assembly. As of right now, they are scheduled to receive the thirteenth on December 15. Hard to believe AA already has ten of these planes in the fleet considering they have been in commercial service for just under four months! |
N812AA, the 13th Dreamliner, was delivered on 17DEC15.
