Routing rules for AAward: NRT-BEY

Hello all,

Would like to use my AA miles to book an award ticket NRT-BEY.

Etihad seems like the best option to get there (no routings published by CX). Of course QR is an option too, whenever they come online (??)...

Currently, there are no seats on the date I need to depart for NRT-AUH.

However, there are two F seats on ICN-AUH.

I checked the EY routing rules, and NRT-ICN-AUH-BEY is allowed but it says that NRT-ICN is on KE. Does this make a difference for the AA ticket? Or does only the routing matter? Obviously I would need to fly to ICN on JL. Of course could also do that on Avios or just buy a cheap ticket but would prefer to avoid that if possible.

Your expert advice is much appreciated...

What about NRT-BKK on JL then BKK-AMM-BEY on RJ?

The ticket with a KE operated flight won't work.
