Need credit card for free checked bag?
Newbie here. The wife and I are traveling domestically LAX to SFO and need to check in a bag. She has two AA Visa signature cards but left them at home. Anyone know if we can still get a checked free?
I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find anything.

If the ticket was booked with the proper CC's, then there shouldn't be a fee. If not, your mileage will vary.

You don't need to have the card with you, so long as the Aadvantage number of the qualifying cardholder is on the reservation. It's not required to use the card as payment. This is discussed in this and other threads...
