I'll be back.. already done with mine for the year.. Mine is all about segments.. I dont have much international travel other than vacations and have been very very fortunate on upgrades as most of my routes are not filled with other exp's

Same here and I'm so sad. I hope AA does the double EQP promo out of ORD or I'm going to have a tough 2011.

Didn't fly a single mile till August 25th. I work as a consultant and got a project in state. Flew Southwest since they had much more convenient schedules and lower prices.

Project ended in Mid-August. Took first flight of the year on August 25th. One month later, I'm sitting on 34K or so miles. Should make it again this year. They make it way too easy with these promos...

The rewards are too good to not make it again this year.

You flew 34000 miles in one month? Wow. That's about 7 transcon in 4 weeks!

It's been a rough month for me with all the traveling. It was actually 4 transons + a trip to NRT and MSY, both for weekend vacations.

EDIT: 4 transcons, not 5.

Upcoming

Not this year with moving and other changes. But, contracts just came through and it looks like about 1 JFK-NRT flight a month next year.
Back in the saddle again.

I'll make EXP this year (6th straight) but just. In the past I've always qualified in July or before. This year it looks like mid to late November. Fares have still been competitive for my routes, but less road work has lead to less flying. Don't know about next year.

I am going to be about 5.5K short after a trip to Italy next week, but I will definitely schedule a weekend trip to Europe or the west coast (with a connection) if needed. I decided to use miles for an F seat to EZE, which is why I’m short. (I love the first class flights, but it’s very hard for me to take additional trips that do not accrue EQP or miles - paying for J is not an option most times.)

No EXP for me next year as I haven't flown anywhere near as much this year and there's been no DBEQM. Last year I would've just made PLT had it not been for DBEQM and that was a lot of flying for me in a year. This year I'll barely make Gold but thanks to AA's soft landing policy I'll be PLT next year. I'll miss some of the benefits like EVIP's but I don't have much travel planned for next year so PLT will be just fine for me.
