Bose: New 150 miles for watching video

Watch a video about the new QC15.

The link is not working for me...

MM983 Sep 30, 2009 11:20 am

edit: removed; link has been corrected

Joka Sep 30, 2009 11:20 am

Finally played video after waiting 10 minutes then crashed when it went to the redeem page. I'm sure the server is just swamped right now

Spiff Sep 30, 2009 11:24 am

The child has solved the puzzle. The answer is "FRIES".

If you don't want to watch and/or engage any synapses, the answer is "All of the above." :)

challett Sep 30, 2009 11:25 am

Sweet thanks. Quick and easy.

jsm Sep 30, 2009 11:25 am

Congratulations, you have earned 150 American Airlines AAdvantageŽ miles. The miles will be credited to your account within six to eight business weeks.

Thanks!

Every little bit counts, right?

The answer to the question would have been obvious to anyone who knows what a noise canceling headphone is supposed to do. Um... that's why I had to watch the whole thing. :o

ccf Sep 30, 2009 11:59 am

The video took a few time to load. Backspacing at the end let's you enter family members.

gaidamak Sep 30, 2009 12:06 pm

Easy promo to extend expiry date.

Thanks

denCSA Sep 30, 2009 12:19 pm

Looks like the site may have crashed

Antipode Sep 30, 2009 12:25 pm

It took a few tries to get the video to load/finish playing, but it worked fine. Thanks.

exc3ll Sep 30, 2009 12:33 pm

Yeah it took me a few reloading! keep trying! ^

JDiver Sep 30, 2009 12:41 pm

Free 150 miles? Sure! Thanks! (I'm not likely at all to give up my Etymotic noise reducing earbuds - I can side sleep with them and they work on all sound, not just continuous noise.)

j3brooklyn Sep 30, 2009 12:47 pm

Or you can just use this link to the post-video form:

https://www.aa4miles.com/miles4bose/postvideo.jsp

No need to watch the video. The answer, as noted above, is "all of the above".

We thank you for this shortcut.

Doh - beaten by six minutes.

videomaker Sep 30, 2009 12:54 pm

I'm not a fan of Bose headphones, but I'll take their 150 miles. Thanks, OP. ^

JDiver Sep 30, 2009 12:58 pm

OTOH, if you are near or driving near a Bose store, drop by and get a coupon good for 350 miles on the same website, expiry Oct 14. If you actually buy a QC15, 1,500 miles, expiry November 14.

JY1024 Sep 30, 2009 1:54 pm

Thanks - a quick way to get 150 miles. :)

dstan Sep 30, 2009 2:29 pm

Thanks, j3brooklyn & sonofzeus! :-: I could not proceed past the end of the video even after several tries! ^

FLgrr Sep 30, 2009 2:30 pm

3 1/2 hours since getting the email. At least I see the video now. But screen goes black at the end with no prompt to enter any information.

Same thing for me. No prompt or link to another page, so this helps immensely:

Watched the video several times, no pop-up or link. Their site suggested if having problems to download Adobe Flash (probably already had it), which I did. Still nothing worked after viewing the video, called the 800 # for Bose, after brief delay, the phone rep. said the site still wasn't working and said it was an AA problem, took the info over the phone and said my 150 miles would post, probably w/in 2 weeks (= would fail to post shortly after the promotion expired?)

Then I went to FT, and saw that y'all had already solved the problem.

SUMMARY:
The link from AA/Bose still doesn't work, just use the link thoughtfully provided.

Thanks j3brooklyn!

Cool, thanks for the link!

Thanks OP ^

In-store demo took two minutes and walked out with my 350 mile voucher.

^ Good to know that it's fairly painless (and that your store was actually aware of the promo). I'll try to drop by a store on Friday, then.

Thanks for posting!
Easy 18-months additional shelf-life for my not-so-frequent flyers parents' miles...

How great is this, with the back button I added the whole family - Thanks:)

Big ^^ for the link. I had the same probs that so many others have had today. I'm sure it's server-traffic-related. 'preciate it!

Thanks, JDiver, for the heads-up about Etymotic. Hadn't heard of them before. Am researching now. ^

Gracias!

If you have already bought your new QC15's call Bose, they are giving me the 1500 miles.

Jdiver, just a correction, Etymotic are "noise isolation" not noise reducing earbuds.

Correcting your correction--that is actually passive noise reduction.

I have the ER6s and I like them a lot for travel due to their tiny size. I dont think they do as good of a job as the high quality noise canceling headphones, but still quite good. The 2 concerns you might worry about are:
1. you really have to stick the thing pretty far in your ear (since it blocks other sound). Not too weird after you get used to it, but definitely unusual at first.
2. The build quality isnt all the great. Sometimes my right one stops working and I have to adjust it around before it works again)

Overall though, im pretty happy with mine, especially for the price I paid

As per the main thread: thanks for posting this! Easy 150 miles never hurts

And those looking for really good sound might want to check out my favorite, the Shure SE530PTH earbuds. There are some threads about this and other options in the Travel Technology forum.

Didn't want to stray too OT here so will just say, thanks in advance, Bose, for the miles!

briank1973 Sep 30, 2009 10:27 pm

Awesome. Since this is a "mileage transaction", I assume it will extend my expiration date by another 18 months. I haven't earned an AA mile in a long while.

Video was pretty cool too.
