Gas Pedal in AA F Transcon Amenity Kits

Interesting item in all of the amenity kits the other day..on a transcon to LA, a black gas pedal with the AA logo on it. One person commented that it was a good marketing ploy. Find it hard to see it from that angle.

There are amenity kits on the transcons? Is this F only?

Question Gas Pedal

Gas Pedal???

Is this a code word or euphemism that I don't understand (perhaps like "fuel dump" secret which I have yet to find)?

It's not in the glossary. It's not in the wiki. Searching reveals posts dealing with car rentals and driving cars but nothing that appears to explain this.

What the heck do you mean "gas pedal"?

Is "gas pedal" a euphemism for shoe horn?

Why on earth would they give you a gas pedal?

I think we need pictures - I'm pretty sure it's not what we're all imagining. If it is merely a real "gas pedal" (as in, you push on it with your foot and it makes the car go faster..) then it tops the list of utterly ridiculous and inane things to give an airline pax.

Does it come with pin striping or window tint?

Second the request for pictures--does it come with a car to "go faster"?

The gas pedal is the one bragging about its SAT score..

How do you even get an AA logo onto one?

Gas Pedal?

Again? I saw this on a transcon a few months ago, stuffed in the amenities bag..then there it again, flight 50 last evening, to LHR. Its no surprise the cabin crew are not at all involved in packing these. Advertisement of some sort it seems.

Probably this

<redacted recurving link>

The OP seems obsessed with them. Enough to start a whole new thread on the same topic.

Cheers.

Agreed. This thread should be merged. Mods please?

With that said, I'm curious now. OP can you provide a picture of said "gas pedal"? Or a better description?
