AWA drops OAK-SJD non-stop
I just pulled up an existing reservation for September and discovered that my OAK-SJD non-stop has been replaced by connecting service through Phoenix. It looks like this routing is being dropped after the first weekend in September.
I booked this awhile back and somehow had a feeling this might happen. At the time I booked, it was still priced far enough below Alaska's SFO-SJD non-stop fares that I probably would have chosen the connection anyway.
Probably my biggest surprise was seeing that Mrs. C and I had been reserved seats in different rows on two of the new segments, but a quick call to reservations fixed that problem.
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
