Are you allowed to bring food and plants into Alaska, or do they have quarantine etc, like Hawaii?

No pineapples. The Alaska pineapple industry is scared to death that somebody will import a pineapple suffering from butt rot.

Just kidding.

If you're flying, no problems (whatever the airline will allow). If you're driving, Alaska has no restrictions, but Canadian customs might and U.S. customs definitely does (they made me throw away a perfectly good bunch of bananas even though we got them in the U.S. and had been in Canada for only an hour and a half before coming back...).

That's only if you're flying to Alaska from the US.

Pax on the flights from Canada, Germany, Russia, Japan, Korea, etc all have to clear US CBP agriculture inspection.
