Tickets from ANC in December
 
We moved to Anchorage a few months ago and will be heading to see family at Christmas time. When is the best time to purchase from ANC to the lower 48?

It would seem the sooner the better as fares only go up...

Best deal running is the BoA AS Companion cert so you can buy one fare and get another one for $99+taxes. And if the fare goes down on AS, you can call up (or send an email) and you'll get the difference back as a credit. But Xmas time- everyone wants to leave then and the airlines know that...

Not sure what fares are at Christmastime, but fares to SEA are ridonkulous when I need to go in November--$585.50 rt. I'm waiting until the PFD sale comes around in September/October--I hold out hope SOMETHING better than that comes along.

585.50 in Nov is not terrible... I've seen worse in the summer :rolleyes:
