Any idea when LAX-BOS might return? It's my main route for biz travel right now, and AS (along with just about everybody else) cut the nonstops during covid. It makes for a long trip when there's at least an hour of driving on each end, too.

June 17th, but that's a placeholder, for the time being. We'll see if it sticks when they update the summer schedule.

Early May would work better for me...

With AA/B6 cooperating on the route, there is little room for AS on LAX-BOS. It was already weak from the moment they took over VX and circumstances have not improved for AS since then.

Cut through July now. Don't see this one coming back. AS cut their mainline fleet quite a bit when they got rid of the Airbus planes. It will be a couple years before they are back to 2019 levels in their mainline fleet and these long routes that have been weak for them will be the casualties of that fleet decision. They did terribly in winter on this route so if it is not coming back in summer, it certainly makes no sense to fly it in winter. Maybe post 2023 once they have their mainline fleet back, they can consider it again.

It's a long route that's always been thinner than it seems like it should be. It would be better served by planes with less capacity, but they generally won't have the range.

The fact that AA/B6 are jointly operating 10 flights a day does not help AS at all either. California flights to EWR/JFK are also reduced to 4 days a week. With the OW partnership passengers to the Northeast from California can easily be pushed over to AA.

Which makes one wonder, what else has been axed from 6/17 onwards? I just checked my reservations in late June and they're all still intact.

Maybe someone who knows how to find/read that airliners.net thread can provide a schedule change update?

just saw that the early summer schedule changes are done through sometime in August. If you don't see a schedule change you should be good.

The airliners schedule change report doesn’t exist any more. He moved it to a paid site. If you have a route you want to check, google flights can provide the info. Put in the start and end point, pick any date, click non stop and Alaska only and you can hover over the calendar and see if the flight still operates and if so on which days.

Anyone know how far in August last weekend's schedule update went through?
