I'm trying to cram things around work (and previous travel) plans, but was able to find a Saturday mileage run (out and back same day) to SEA-PHL on the fare sale. With the 50% bonus its 7,132 for $251 - $0.035/mile.

Might do an after work SEA-PDX run in F on a weekday... 2250 miles under $0.05 per mile, plus a few drinks and dinner in the lounge, seems like a nice evening

I'm gonna wait for the promo to be extended until December 31st, 2020.
If the airlines think that with this gimmickry they can fill their planes 100%, they are mistaken. Coronavirus will haunt them for MONTHS.

BTW, SXSW was just cancelled so anyone thinking that their upcoming conference is still going to happen is probably delusional at this point.

I didn't get the email, but it let me sign up. I already had a flight up to PDX booked, and probably will have a trip to BOS in that window.

Signed up today. Flying now so today’s flight won’t be eligible. 6 flights in the window with no plans to change in the absence of a governmental mandate..

Out of curiosity, which SF conference isn't cancelled?

Is there a grammarian and a mathematician in the room?

I’m not quite sure what “getting there 50% faster” actually means...

seems like x fare LAX-SJC is $20. So RT $40. X fare is also valid for EQMs (?)

based on that promotion, one will get 1500 EQM for a RT.

so MVPG 40000/1500 = 27 RTs.

27*40 = $1080

At the same time, a MVPG can get 80000 RDMs...

just a hypothetical situation!

I just did JFK-SFO-JFK on Tuesday from the BOGO sale at 2.07 cpm.

Fares are now double that (obviously) so with a 50% EQM bonus... the EQMs at least come up to 2.55 cpm. RDMs are at 3.8 cpm.

That just isn't quite worth it to me yet Perhaps my situation will change as the month progresses.

I'm seeing some SEA-PDX runs in I class for $69 each way. How much would that earn with this bonus? Would it be the 500 minimum + 375 = 875 + 437.5 = 1312.5 EQM? I'm assuming that is not the case, but would be nice!

Yep. Sub-500 mile flights are calculated at: (500*1.75)*1.5. So 1,313 EQMs for PDX-SEA. I know what I’m doing after work in a few weeks.

First class eqm bonus counts towards elite status qualification, so I think it's eligible for the 50% as well. If true, a 1000 mile flight in paid first would generate 1000 + 750 = 1750 X 1.5 = 2625 eqms.

Anyone know for sure how it works for 500 minimum?

Is it: 1000 + 750 + 500 = 2250
Or does it stack? 1000 x 1.75 x 1.5 = 2625
