while the mai tais on AS are not in any way something i crave, they were a distinguishing feature in the market much the way that UA's "halfway to hawaii" game was/is (not sure if it still happens), and for that reason, quite memorable. for an airline that supposedly prides itself in being different from the competition, AS just got rid of a relatively cheap and easy differentiation signature.
