Upgrade glitch continues. Checked in for my flight last night and then checked to see where I am at on the UG list. Not even on it!!! I called the help desk and they put me on it after about a 15 minute wait. Now number 1 on the list for a sold out cabin. Shows me in 9F (PE seat upgrade) which I already had from time of booking.

Yes, I selected 9F at time of booking which is a premium seat. I also checked the box for a first class upgrade at that time. It showed me on the list until sometime just before check-in. Definitely a glitch on Alaska airlines part.

MVPG, booked VX1780 (0645 departure) in R on 11/8
SDCd by phone shortly before midnight; based on the seat map, I had no expectations but asked about PC anyway during reissue ... agent confirmed 8F with no hesitation

I was #1 on the UG list once they put me back on it and that is where I stayed until just before boarding when I was called to the desk and they handled me a new boarding pass for 3A. This is my last flight of the year so it made for a happy ending to 2017. I am somewhere around 85% for UG’s for the year.

12/14/17 AS 3396 SEA-PDX Checked my reservation at ~T-48 and had been upgraded. 75K. Left with F full and about 12on the waitlist.

12/14/17 AS 863 PDX-OGG K class booked with companion fare coupon. MVPG. 5 of 12 on WL (partner was way down on UG list as he has no status, but I thought we both were either UG together or bypassed??)
12/24/17 AS 862 OGG-PDX K class. Checked our flights incessantly after purchase until one random weekend there were 2 U seats available with my gold guest upgrade coupons, so snagged them!! SCORE!!!! This flight will (re) qualify me for MVG and him for MVP.

called in at 2200 to SDC, knowing there were no F seats available on any afternoon flights, and this was the only one with an available window seat (I don’t count 16B/E on the 73G); I was something like 11/26 on the UG list
I was able to access the Alaska Lounge by showing the receipt for the original ticket along with the BP for 555 (which booked into full Y, so will be curious to see if any bonus COS miles post)
