Travel blogger Cranky Flier just wrapped up a 6-part posting on a recently-completed milk run trip. Interesting to read about this from someone else's perspective. Trip was paid for by AS and Cranky was accompanied on it by Joe Sprague.

I've done those flights many times in both directions and always enjoy it. It's even better in F, though.

I did AS 65 yesterday (KTN-WRG-PSG-JNU). We went mechanical in WRG due to a broken seal on a cargo door. A mechanic from PSG jumped in his private plane and flew to WRG to fix the door and get us back on our way (he followed us to PSG). It was a classic only-in-Alaska moment. I tweeted AS and told them to give the guy some extra gas money.
OO-SLC-CR9 and AKCuisine like this.

Appears N713AS has been at KPAE since last Wednesday. N768AS has been at PANC since Thursday.

"Uh oh..." indeed -- that gives a whole new meaning to the term "-400 Combi"

You're correct, AS41 was N768AS on 7/31.
Interesting, N769AS is operating SEA-OKC on 31st.

Does anyone know how many Combis are still in service and/or how many milk run flights are still operated with this type?
