Beware the EQFs

Reminder: Alaska requires 6 AS flights for silver, 12 flights for gold and 24 flights for platinum. (Or as they call it MVP/MVP Gold/75k).

As someone who has done something like 60k eqms and 30 flights, it kinda hurt when AS sent an email today congratulating on renewing my 40k status.

I recently moved from a hub (SFO) to a spoke (RNO) and now need to manage my partner airline flying, eg for me it used to be 80\20 ASand now
is inversed.

Yes, thats what they call some of their elite tiers. This feels like going into Starbucks and saying medium in some sort of weak protest.

Or almost as bad, being such a connoisseur of trash coffee that you go somewhere decent and order a "venti."

If you're going to jump the fence, at least respect the flora and fauna.

Congratulations! You renewed your AS status. Now you only need less than something like 15K more EQM & at most 6 AS segments if you want to move up to MVPG75K.

In lieu of the EQM, you could fly another 60 flights making sure enough are on AS to hit the 12 AS segment threshold. You could even fly on Saver X fares.

Before the segment requirements came into effect, you would still need something like 30K more EQM to move up a Tier.
