Saddest airport lounge you have ever visited
Swissport @ Chicago O'Hare gets my vote. Photos from late May 2021. The word "Swiss" screams quality and class to me. Definitely not here.

Sofia Lounge in SOF T1 and Tarom Business Lounge in OTP get my votes.
I nominate the Sofia lounge for the worst free F&B offering ever and a style in line with an unrenovated communist-era station concourse. Tarom lounge in OTP for lack of AC, complete absence of real food, and ill-maintained IKEA-style seating. |

Review shows it looks ok. I'd say from photos it looks pretty nice. |
some of the german lounges are very boring . i visited priority pass lounge in Munich back in 2018 and it was very boring and almost no one there .

No photos but the Colorado Springs (COS) "Mortgage Solutions Premier Lounge" is essentially just a quiet place to sit. There are times where there is not even a check-in person, you just write your number on a clipboard.

The old Varig Domestic Lounge at GRU was pretty dire. More recently the Thai Domestic Lounge in BKK which I last visited in 2019 was awful. Overcrowded, ill lit and dirty. I was also annoyed because I always hear people scoff at how bad US lounges are and how everything in Asia is better and then I got there and saw it and felt betrayed.
Other nominations are the former PHL Admirals Club which in the 2000s was outside security and awful. The former ATL B10 Skyclub which was tiny and always bursting at the seams. The America West and then US Airways LAS Lounge which was also outside security and the most dark, cave like lounge I ever visited. |
A few that come to mind:
LX lounge at JFK (flew it before flying OZ F a few years ago, atrocious lounge — especially attached to the LX name) DL SkyClub at SCL TG HKT Lounge (probably the true #1, truly awful lounge) CA lounges at PEK (CA J and CA F lounges at PEK are both awful) DL D27 basement lounge is awful AF at IAD is pretty bad off-hours when they don’t serve real food/drink |
I once visited one that makes OP's look like a 5-star hotel but since I don't have a picture I guess I can't tell anyone........
Edit: Good news..... Google came through for us. OGG (Maui) Hawaiian Airlines lounge. Literally, a pop machine (which was closed when I was there) and nothing else. Not even coffee or a bag of crappy crackers. Tables and chairs were on par with what you find at your local DMV. You definitely leave paradise at the airport entry when flying out of Maui. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f9335c394c.jpg |

At ORD, one of the worst airports I've flown through (out of 350), there's a particularly forlorn PP lounge in T5. Can't recall the name, but if you're walking from the security checkpoint, you turn right, and then it's on the right-hand side. There was also a subterranean DMK lounge which might as well have been the setting of a snuff film.
CAI's MS lounges suck, too (people are smoking, bad lighting, tricky wifi, dubious snacks). In general, I've found PP lounges in the US to be dank, lounges in China to be just as bad (and with inedible food; though there was one 2-level lounge at PVG that was fine), and Mexican ones pre-COVID to be better than expected (if only for the food). |

Not an airport lounge, but the Acela lounges in Penn and Washington Union Stations are the most dismal I’ve ever been in. The station waiting areas themselves, of course, are even worse.
