Using Priority Pass upon arrival in Sydney AU?
Hello, I am flying into Sydney early in the day and have 6 hours to spend with baggage before we had to cruise terminal. Two of us would like to use the restaurants that participate in Priority Pass Landside. On the Priority Pass site it does not specifically mention departure or outbound flights like some lounges do. Two questions: 1. Does anyone have experience using landside lounges upon arrival in Sydney and did it work? 2. The reason we are looking for landside is I am thinking we will need to pickup baggage. Is this done inside security or outside, as I am guessing I will need to go through customs. Or will I be able to collect bags and customs and then go to lounge? Thank you. |

You need to have a look at where the lounges are T1 International, T2 domestic VA & others or T3 domestic QF https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/ Have a look at the wiki here-->https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ocea...transport.html As SYD is your entry into Australia you must clear immigration & customs with all your checked & carry on baggage. You then end up landside (in a small, often congested, area). There are landside luggage storage places to the right. This is not in a "secured area" Then at T1, you can up 1 level to any PP facilities land side (before security) [if any: not sure] https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/eat At T1 international you will not have access to the departure airside (after security) PP contracted facilities (mainly restaurants). Or across to T2/T3 by the free bus. You do not need a boarding pass to access Australian domsetic airside areas. Just go through the security (minor by USA standards). There are other threads on PP SYD facilities. |
Thank you for the thorough response. I am aware of all the lounges available and which side of security they are on. I did a search on all posts and found nothing about whether or not it can be used upon arrival. even if I did go to T2 or T3, it would be the same issue of no departing pass. Thanks |

Thank you. Im not really worried about security, I’ve been through 30ish international customs. I really just want to take full advantage of Priority Pass. I guess the only way to find out if it will work upon arrival is to wait and see. perfect situation, I leave T1 customs and go to Mach 2. |

Opening hours: Every day 5:30am - 9pm https://www.sydneyairport.com.au/eat/mach2?terminal=T1 There was(is?) a good floor plan the various SYD terminal areas that I cannot find now. Maybe now only in the individual entries, as link above. |
