AB Status Match - Time Until oneworld Update?

Hi All!

I status matched to topbonus Gold today, and was wondering if anyone knows how long until oneworld partners will be able to see me oneworld status? The topbonus website is already showing my status. However, I just tried making a dummy reservation on AA, but it doesn't seem to be reflecting my status yet.

Hi,

I think you have four months for the Gold Status if you do not complete the challenge. If you manage to earn 8000 Status Miles, you can get Silver and if you get 17,000 miles you can maintain your Gold Status for one year. Keep in mind you can also earn status miles from Etihad (EY).

Thanks! Unfortunately, that wasn't quite the question. The question is how long until oneworld partners are able to see my new status. As of now, AA's website does not register my status of I attempt to create a new reservation.

My understanding from the AA folks is that MCE will be available for free while doing a dummy booking once AA can see the status. I got my match today, but still waiting for AA to be able to see it.

Hi! In my experience it took something around 48h for it to be recognized by Iberia for free seat booking. The funny thing is it even took some time for AB itself to recognize I was gold...as I was status matched 2h before my departure the guy at check-in was quite puzzled why the computer would show him "classic" :D

Off topic question in case anyone knows: for the status match challenge, do the status miles earned by the AB CC count? that would be just perfect :p

Thanks for the advice, everybody. Just wanted to report back that my status became visible to other oneworld partners -- including both AA and Iberia -- between 4 and 5 days after the match. So, a bit longer than reported above, but still not too long. After it became visible, I was able to call AA and change an existing reservation to include my topbonus number, and then I was able to select MCE seating online.

Hi, what program did you match from to the AirBerlin topbonus? Trying to match from Eurobonus (Star Alliance) to any OneWorld but they don't seem to do it? Any tips...?

I just got a challenge (20 segments or 17000 miles within 4 month) for matching with Eurobonus Gold. I will take it up.

EDIT: however AB wesbite still shows me as classic. Irritating.

I posted this on airline status match master thread but would like to ask on the AB forum.

Do EY flights count towards the 17000 required to extend the matched status. I think I read somewhere that EY flights count but would like a confirmation.

Thanks.

Hello all
I am trying to determine when other oneworld airlines can see my new oneworld status through Air Berlin. Is making a dummy booking on AA.com and seeing it will allow me to access paid seating for free still the best way?

Many thanks

Very quickly

BA could see my AB status within 24 hours of the time I received the status match email from AB.

I got successfully matched too! However neither AA nor BA website recognize my status yet and it has been over 4 days...

Can someone please share how long they had to wait till the actual card arrives? I will be flying QR in a week and I want to make sure that I can get the OWS benefits  Thanks!

US Airways Quirk

While AA recognized AB status and let me into the SNA Admirals Club, USAirways could not recognize AB status and denied access to the PHX Admirals Club. Hopefully, this is a US quirk that will be worked out as the systems improve. Having the card will also certainly help. The match email said 10-14 days...

Did they send you an email back to confirm that the status match was completed?
