Welcome to FT antsman :)
AFAIK there are no plans for 777 to be on AKL-PER route. The first routes getting 777 are AKL-SFO (this year) and AKL-SIN (Jan 2006). While some transtasman flights will have 777 I doubt this includes PER due to scheduling requirements. |
Cheers Bro!

new NZ aircraft delivery information
NZ will now take delivery of their first 772ER ZK-OKA on October 28. It was originally due to be delivered on October 5, but was delayed due to strikes by Boeing factory staff. On November 4 ZK-OKA will fly to CHC and Ohakea.
The Second 772, ZK-OKB is expected to be delivered on November 8. The second Q300's delivery has been delayed three weeks because of delays in the arrival of some airframe components at the Bombardier factory in Toronto. The aircraft ZK-NEB was originally due to enter service on the 17th but now is expected to be delivered on October 30 and start flying on November 7. The third Q300 will still be delivered next month, on about the 16th of November and the forth will arrive in the first week of the new year - about one week behind schedule. |
Added school and public holidays for 2007 & 2008.

Don't forget the NZ AGM which is to be held on Wednesday.

Further my post in the news thread don't forget that ZK-OBA will be doing a fly over AKL before landing at about 11am tommorow. ZK-OKA is flying promotional flights from Auckland to Ohakea and Chistchurch on the 4th of November. Currently the introduction of the 777 on AKL/SIN has not been pushed back.
The originally guaranteed refurb's for NZ1/2 from Nov 5 are impossible with the current situation. NZ7/8 will remain 74R until December 1 when IIRC the 777 starts AKL/LAX. When there are three refurbished aircraft all NZ1/2 flights will be operated by 74R I've sent away for the schedule of commerical 777 services before SFO, but if anyone else here can fill in the gaps it would be much appreicated. :) |
777 progressive introduction to Asia Routes
Air New Zealand is pleased to advise that the new 777 aircraft will be progressively introduced on services operating between New Zealand and Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong from the following dates, subject to operational constraints:
• Between Auckland and Singapore from Friday 17 February 2006, six days earlier than the previously advised date of Thursday 23 February 2006 • Between Auckland/Christchurch and Tokyo from 26 March 2006 • Between Auckland and Hong Kong from 01 July 2006 • Between Auckland/Christchurch and Osaka from 30 July 2006 With the introduction of the new aircraft on these routes, we will now be able to offer Pacific Premium Economy fares for travel to/from/via Hong Kong & Japan. We will be replacing the three long-term Pacific Premium Economy fares for travel to SIN with two Pacific Premium Economy fares - E and U class effective immediately. Please note: this change will not result in a fare increase. |
2006 is shaping up to be a big year for NZ. 6 777s being delivered as well as 8 - 10 Q300s and 1 A320.
The delivery flight for ZK-OKC, the 3rd 777 (not leased from ILFC) is now scheduled to arrive in AKL on January the 23rd. Freedom Air is now only operating 4 A320s, nothing else. They have ZK-OJL and K in their livery while M and N is in the NZ livery. Next year one more A320 is scheduled for delivery which brings the total to 14... one less than they ordered because they sold it right off the production line. |
