LAX

The access to HVC seating is consistent for *G in my experience. All pax associated with the *G holder travelling on the same booking enjoy this benefit.

It's not "published" per se, but the computer recognizes *G and AFAIK treats them more or less the same as NZ*G including HVC seats.

A question from a non *A status holder. If I don't pre-select a seat, can I still select one at check-in, or is a seat assigned that can't be changed. I don't want to risk being assigned a middle seat that I can't change (I would prefer not to pay the extra $10.00 but will do so to avoid a possible middle seat).

Pretty sure once you are checked it is locked. And don't think non status get a chance to pick.

Only can change if talk to a human YMMV

Non-status holder can select a seat at kiosk checkin once at the airport for free. My non-status son does this all the time, and he doesn’t use the app, just does it at the airport.

Of course, who knows what seats will be available at that late stage. My son has ended up in the HVC zone, or right down the back.
