Up from silver to gold - not so generous
My sister is nearly at gold level (counting miles), and I phoned FB to ask if they by any chanse they might upgrade her status even if she'd be lacking about 1000 miles.
The iron voice responded that even if she had 39999 miles, the limit was still 40000, so forget it.
This ff program is a gift package - to other airlines.
PS: And please, I know the limits are there. I'm just wondering why they don't use the flexibility they cound to make their pax 'fly that extra mile'..

Try again, it might work
there is a thread dealing with this topic and the consensus is that FB WILL upgrade/maintain the status if it is that close.
