New Mileage Scheme: 1+1 = 3?
Trying to figure our the madness behind the method.
One way BRU-AMS-LAX is coming up as: 381,000 miles in C(dynamic pricing)
But BRU-AMS is 26,000 and AMS-LAX in 159,000.
What am I missing?

Presumably if the OP looks at BRU-AMS-LAX miles, he either is in BRU and wants to get to LAX or is in LAX and wants to get to BRU.

Has anyone ever swam the Atlantic? I think it would be easier than surviving this frequent flyer programme as there would be a lot of helpful support. Good luck whatever you decide.

It looks like somebody has swam everywhere including the Panama Canal but I feel confident that nobody has ever done this route;
Swim from Zeebrugge through the English Channel, across the Atlantic, round Cape Horn and up to LA.
It's going to take time but it will be quicker than collecting enough miles and successfully booking a reward ticket.

I have just over 20 of these blue and white houses but the only way I will ever get close to having the whole set would be to buy them from Ebay and that sort of spoils the point of collecting them. As for sparkling iced tea, it sounds revolting.

No, it's sparking.
It was finally removed from the KLM trolleys as they realised it was a combustion risk.
(Having successfully trialled the use of frituurolie in an aircraft engine, they are now investigating powering one of their Dreamliners using the unused sparking iced tea.)
