Indeed. QF flies to SYD, MEL and BNE from both SIN and HKG, as well as PER from SIN and these will be code-shared.
But some pax will be interested by reaching smaller cities like Canberra, Cairns, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin. AF will codeshare on QF flights from SYD to these cities.

If the press release is correct, only flights from SYX to those places will have an AF codeshare.
