No new thread on improved website functionality?

I'm surprised! I would of expected to see a thread appearing on this, since it has been effective for a few days.

Ok, let's see what was added.

The AE website now lets you :

A) View most bookings online, by entering booking reference number or searching the listed ones

B) Re-Send yourself a copy of the electronic itinerary

C) Cancel a booking to keep for future use (1 year from original date of issue) once that is done you will receive an electronic confirmation.

D) Refund bookings (if you have more then 22 days prior to departure)
once that is done you will receive an electronic receipt.

Discuss!

Cheers

Well...my bookings made via the AE call centre are now listed in the 'Manage your Rewards' section.

However, I can't display/access them.

My AE bookings remain unviewable from either AC.com or AE.com. Up until a few weeks ago I could at least retrieve them on AC.com.

So for me, none of these enhancements work.

IT guys...please fix this!

There are still tons of valid flights or itineraries that will not show up on AE. I just booked BRU-fra-MEX CUN-yyz-fra-BRU in C. The BRU-fra-MEX was showing up but there was no way to get CUN-yyz-fra-BRU on line. However, as KVS tool was showing all flights available in C, I called, paid the $30 service charge x2 +Tx and got what I wanted.

About a week ago, same situation with CDG-NRT on NH. AE site was suggesting CDG-yyz-NRT, nice for a milleage run but no thanks for an award. KVS was showing availability for the NH direct flight CDG-NRT.

AE should outsource its web site to KVS!

The changes I'm referring to are the second part of the redesign project, they were only implemented on the 22nd of may.

Cheers

I was trying to make a booking today and it hung. I re-entered and it worked ok. Still seems a bit buggy but appreciate that AE is moving forward. Still lots to do on AE and AC.com (especially the latter!).
