Wait a minute.... they actually ID in liquor stores in Quebec? That's a first!

I remember living in Ottawa when I was 16, and driving across the bidge to Quebec to buy liquor. The deps and SAQs never ID's.... and I always looked young too. Even now after 4 years in Montreal, I think I've been ID'd only 2 or 3 times out of the hundreds... and I probably look like I'm 18 to most people

But I've seen kids in some SAQ stores who are so obviously under 18, and they have no problem buying without getting ID'd.... Ahh, one good thing about quebec!

Good for you if you've discovered the joys of airport lounges and business class travel at a young age, enjoy.

What can I say? I grew up in those things... when you're flying YVR/YYZ and back your whole life you grow to love them, I don't know what i'd do without the free food in the mornings :D ... I still find it ridiculous that they would give me a pass but not let me into some lounges, I mean the YVR business centre is completely separate from the rest of the lounge and they wouldn't even let me in that... rude awakening for the first time flying without a 19+ year old with me. Ah well, I figure one FTer is bound to be in YOW/YVR on any given date so i'll post when i've got them confirmed.

Thanks

When you were refused on an Exec ticket did you have your lounge pass? I expect they are more used to checked for under-age Exec passengers than under-aged lounge members, the first being much more likely than the second. If you don't find anyone traveling at the same time, I agree that if you have a look of confidence and entitlement, you shouldn't have a problem. I'd also suggest you don't drink in the lounge until you hit the age of majority so that in the very unlikely event that they catch you, they don't black list you.

Chances of getting caught once inside are close to zero. Lounge dragons are tied to the desk and cleaning staff will assume the lounge dragon has checked age.... :D

.... Unless you get tipsy :p and another lounge patron takes exception.

I was just on an exec ticket, I was 17 at the time, both AC and the CCs don't issue MLL passes for those under 18. As for the sense of confidence and entitlement... I go to Queen's, i've got the whole sense of entitlement thing down pat ;) :D
