"5. My ...: It does not have enough padding to bear a transatlantic flight in ex-CP 763s (in either J or Y)." ========================================== Since you keep flying AC, I know that you can get some Plastic Surgery done to increse the padding. Also, since it is required for travel, which is part of business, maybe it will be tax deductible. Check if you can pay with AP points for the procedure ( better than the toasters) |
Feb 11 - AC118 4C didn't have a table in it's armrest for the pax to use http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif
The foot rests on both A321's (nasty new ugly hard lime green ones) we had to endure on our recent flights would only go in the up or down position. No incremental setting like on the 319/320's Table trays are consistently dirty. I have taken to using the alcohol wipes to clean the trays when taking them out. While I generally bring my own reading material I have noticed a lack of magazines on board the aircraft and in the lounges lately. Quite barren. I was in the MLL on Monday in YYZ and there was a guy looking for something to read other than a newspaper and he was literally lifting stuff to try and find something but no luck http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |
You're right, cattle. I noticed that the YVR Domestic MLL not only had PCs that were not working (yet again), but the racks where enRoute magazine gets places were ALL empty both downstairs in the entrance uparea and upstairs as well. Looked quite barren and sad.

Magazines most definitely are lacking.
On my latest flights YOW-YYZ... lots of magazines in French up front, but nothing in English. Also in Dec. in the LHR new lounge upstairs, all the magazines that interested me were in German... sigh. There use to be a great magazine in the MLL and on board called "Home and Country" or "Country and Home"... haven't seen that one for at least 8 months. I "rarely" except the offer of newspapers on board for a couple of reasons. 1. hate them left on the floor for the rest of the trip 2. don't like to get my hands all black, even though they do provide the damp, alcohol wipe. I know somebody is going to say, "Buy your own magazines"... which I do. However, it was a nice perk that use to be offered in the MLL and on board, that has silently slipped away from us. |
The TV's in the back room at US MLL in YYZ are all back and the pictures clear. Maybe this string worked for this fix?

My past three flights on A330s to and fro LHR - either the audio system is broken such that you can't listen to channels 3-13 at all (anywhere in Y), or the LCD screen at the front of Row 12 is busted.
It's one thing that AC is starting to get consistent - broken audio entertainment on my flights! |
That A330 to LHR must be the same plane they were also using on outgoing YVR/LHR flights 3 weeks ago. The had continual problem getting the video and audio to work. The aircraft on the way back was fine, but I didn't check registration #'s.

I was told on one flight when there was no video from LHR-YYZ, that it had not been working for 3 days actually.

Originally posted by I'llMissCP: A320 rear lav's that can be smelt in row 20. Now that is the most disgusting thing for 4 hours. This a/c had sat all night at YYC, short turn is no excuse. In general, a/c cleaning is a sad experience. Interior maintenance is also suffering. Little maintenance items that cause delays seem to be more frequent. 9 segments this year so far, 5 delayed by maintenenace after a/c loaded. Or is is one union exercising "work to rule"? Finally on the mtce front most cabin snags are deferred in Calgary if it is not an airworthiness issue. For this there are two reasons. A reduction in the maintenance personnel in YYC and a lack of spares and equipment as this maintenance base is rumoured to be closed. We don't like it either. |
YVR-HNL the PTV stopped suddenly. All of us complained and it had to be reset. It worked until HNL. Of course it was same plane service HNL-YVR and the PTV decided to give up the ghost. I wanted to write a complaint as I was, by then, quite fed up. In my profession I don't usually lose my cool-- but this time I asked for the complaint forms. Then I was offered a compensation and was told that this is quite a frequent occurence as these systems are quite delicate!!
