I would have thought that most road warriors would have dial-up access. There are huge swaths of the planet where that's the only access available.
Nevertheless, many AA Admirals Clubs have high speed internet terminals. |

A320 rear lav's that can be smelt in row 20. Now that is the most disgusting thing for 4 hours. This a/c had sat all night at YYC, short turn is no excuse.
In general, a/c cleaning is a sad experience. Interior maintenance is also suffering. Little maintenance items that cause delays seem to be more frequent. 9 segments this year so far, 5 delayed by maintenenace after a/c loaded. Or is is one union exercising "work to rule"? |
The US Airways Clubs have espresso machines, and I recall one of the DFW Admirals Clubs having them. Perhaps Guy Betsy hasn't visited enough U.S. airport lounges to notice.

YEG MLL has only one computer and it is definitely not high speed. Slow as donkeys! Is this what we are paying for? NO.
On the bright side, YEG does have some of the best conceirges, all 2 of them. |
without trying to sound like an apologist here is some of the reasons some of these things happened while I was still working there. The company has layed off so many people they are short to begin with. Now throw in some delays and they make being short even worse because it dominoes to the rest of the flights. So even if an aircraft is there overnight they may just do the minimum groom because they don't have enough people to finish all the planes because of delays or if someone has booked off they will not replace them. Now why the computers don't work properly in th MLL I can't say. I thought they were sponsered by xerox so you would think they would be responsible for the upkeep and any repairs that need to be made.

Toilet in domestic MLL at YYZ still not fixed...or broken again!!!!
I find this thread very disturbing...customers having to resort to the internet to report aircraft cabin maintenance problems and AC infrastructure problems. A sad state for a once great airline. |
YEG MLL--now there are the desks wher the computrs once stood!! Maybe they should have a memorial plaque!! Considering the airport in YEG is so new, I would have thought the MLL could have been improved--but sadly the passengers are lacking!!The concierge service is great.
The NEW 319's have the table trays that have to be propped up with extra napkins, the covers are nearly falling apart and they way some of the tables are--it will put a decent contortionist to shame!!Internationally--the VCD's have sound that cannot be adjusted, the PTV's break down--all in all a really sorry state of affairs. |
The worst thing I have had happen is no water to wash your hands in the lav... reported it to the FA in Galley, in a quiet whisper and she said, yes I know... we have to go to the very back to get water too...

A couple things on my ex-CP 767-300 from Friday and Sunday: 1) the constant flushing noise from the right side J lav ~ it refused to stop for the entire flight; 2) the continous chime throughout the flight ping, ping, ping...the FAs claimed at first not to hear it but then relented and admitted that they were unsure where it was coming from. It was torture.

1. Gin dispenser at YYZ MLL T1: It only dispenses single shots, even though I asked for a double. (Although it is Tanqueray finally)
2. Canada Post: I'm still waiting for my 2004 Elite pack. Ditto Mrs LE 3. The entertainment system in the entire front Y section on 333 C-GHKW fin 936 on Sunday: kept resetting itself. 4. My ears: They don't fit on to the new 'disposable' earphones. (Whose brilliant odea was this?) 5. My ...: It does not have enough padding to bear a transatlantic flight in ex-CP 763s (in either J or Y). ...just some things I've noticed in the past few months... |
