This is still the "go-to" place.
If the YYC DO was any indication, it will remain strong for the foreseeable future. |
Parnel, Ken HAAmer, Academic, acysb87, yyznomad..... Ah, the days of yore, when I was accused of wearing the "jackboots of moderation" :D :D :D

Ah yes, the infamous mystery shopper caper.
Changing topics ever so slightly, I wonder how many of the original Mexican Hat Dancers are still active / around. Someone commented about Ken up-thread, but I wonder if there are others. Oddly enough, it came up at the recent YYC Do, although with different nomenclature. |

Even I vaguely recall that.

I came across an old name tag from a YYZ event
Where AC execs gave a talk, a tour of the ATC and an opportunity to do a spin in a flight sim. Don't remember the year but it was worth flying in and out for from YOW. Exec on the ground even arranged to change my flight to a later departure so as to not miss some of the activities. Speaking of Errorplan, I do recall hanging out there too for the short time it was a thing. Punished Edmontonian comes to mind.

I joined in 2000 and have been more of a lurker than a daily poster but I have been
here through all of the entertaining times- Parnel, Blondebomber, Shareholder, Airbus320, Academic, Stranger, Empress, Ken HAAmer, Dorian... Its like an All-star team. Ive learned so much, and been entertained daily. And hey, whatever became of Cattle, he with the thong? :p |
What I miss is the value AC puts on input from their frequent flyers - FT’s. This event was held 19 years ago. Interesting read on what was discussed, some of which has been introduced and in some cases since withdrawn (TPE flights). Not surprising over 19 years however.
Since then there have been two other similar but less focused events. I believe the last was the introduction of the Dreamliner in YYZ and YVR - but also many years ago. hopefully these types of events can return again. https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-...reports-5.html |
