Ipsos poll on Concierge Services

Just a note to say that there is an Ipsos survey in the box of (hopefully all) Super Elites. Don't skip this over as it is covering very detailed feedback on the concierge service. Clearly they will keep it (and they should) but they are looking to see where the benefits are most valued and perhaps where they are not. This will lead to changes - perhaps even positive.

I took the time to go through it all and can see it is very comprehensive. It reminded me of flying AC and the amazing concierges they have. I have not seen any Concierges since departing YYC on March 16 so looking forward to reconnecting with them again.

Nothing in my inbox :(

Jebby_ca Dec 17, 2020 8:41 am

Nothing here either. Haven't received a survey from them in a while.

yyznomad Dec 17, 2020 8:53 am

Nothing here as well.

run&fly Dec 17, 2020 9:23 am

One more data point. Nothing here either.

Adam Smith Dec 17, 2020 9:23 am

Unless this is one of those times when AC sends e-mails out in waves, nothing for me either.

YVRtoYYZ Dec 17, 2020 9:32 am

Nada for me.

300rwhp Dec 17, 2020 9:37 am

nada here

Adam Smith Dec 17, 2020 9:47 am

I guess AC only cares what zrh2yvr thinks about the Concierge service ;)

martyYOW Dec 17, 2020 10:29 am

I got it too but the questions seemed very similar to a Concierge survey from last year. I haven't flown since winter either so maybe targeted at SE's that they hope fly again soon?

Received email early this morning

Thank you for posting this - this is the one.

Came at 13:00 CET and just says the sender is "Air Canada". In Gmail it went to the "promotions" folder - so I don't normally look - it was perhaps lucky.

jlisi984 Dec 17, 2020 4:44 pm

Received the email this afternoon, filled out the survey

WoodlandCreature Dec 18, 2020 2:07 am

I got it this morning (Sydney time) too — as an SE MM who has flown zero miles with AC in 2020.

The big problem with the survey is that it asks about overall satisfaction with concierge services that vary widely in quality across the system, but nothing about satisfaction with concierge services at different stations, which is what they really need to know.

Nothing here

Hypastyla Dec 18, 2020 7:00 pm

Nothing here either

ac/elite Dec 18, 2020 7:53 pm

I got it too yesterday and filled it out. Reminded me how much I miss flying and interacting with the concierges. Haven’t flown since early March.

The Lev Dec 18, 2020 8:50 pm

Nada here.

talkeryxu Dec 21, 2020 3:30 pm

Nothing for me, though I already got to vent to Air Canada's team a few months back in a Super Elite focus group, so I shouldn't feel too left out.

I don't connect here often, but when I do, I love the absolute mind boggling sense of humour I see - posts like this!

Also, nothing here for me and MrsITAG.

yyz_atc_qq Dec 21, 2020 8:56 pm

nothing here

Seems like the survey hits a pretty small sample of SEs, based on the posts here. You can certainly design surveys to extract statistically significant results from a small subset of a population, but with a group as heterogeneous as SEs, I wonder what work they do to obtain a representative sample? Also, since SEs are a fairly small population to begin with, why not sample a larger slice? Presumably with a fairly small group, the marginal cost per survey is pretty low, since there will be a pretty high fixed cost...

Could this be due to email marketing preferences or similar communication preferences set on our accounts? I very rarely receive anything from Air Canada...

I don't think so. I recieve lots from AC, including Ipsos surveys.

yyznomad Dec 22, 2020 11:31 am

I want my survey!
*pounds fists on table*
i want supRe Eleet to be changed to Special Eleet!
*pounds fists on table*

all kidding aside, I'm glad they're surveying some SEs, even if it's not many.

Bohemian1 Dec 22, 2020 11:43 am

Oddly enough, other than securing boarding passes, I've interacted more with the Concierges this year than last.

Every time I have called the artist phone number previously know as the SE Desk, it's been answered by a Concierge. And every time, a vaguely Cow-like voice pops into my head saying that I shouldn't be wasting this valuable resource ...

Yeah, don't they know who you are?! They're probably surveying a bunch of bottom-feeders but haven't asked the mighty yyznomad what he thinks!

I think I've also interacted with them more, but that's partly because I was often visiting them in October. Also, while I've done way less mileage this year, it has been much more on AC than usual (as a % of what miles I have done), and my segment count is only down ~30%. The joys of UFPing a bunch of turboprop flights! :)

Lol nah I think my opinions are in range of the majority SEs. So now need. :)

You're happy letting people who achieve a paltry 160K AQM speak for you?!

I finally did get one. Having not flown a single mile this year, I had to scratch my head to answer some of the questions... seems so long ago...

Well, shall we poll those who have gotten the surveys to make sure they meet the threshold? ;)

I don't, but I didn't get the survey, so 1/1 so far!

Wait, so even you're not qualified to answer the survey on your behalf?
