Not an insignificant discount, but it wouldn't take much of a coupon code to replicate that kind of discount on AC.com.

An Amex Platinum card from Amex Canada will not get you much off Air Canada flights, at least not through their International Air Program. The only way to accomplish a discount is to book code-shared flights through Lufthansa that are actually on AC metal. It's a tricky business....

Last summer when I booked YYZ-FRA-VCE, I was only able to get the IAP discount if I booked LH flight no. although it was operated by AC.
Yes, LH flight number operated by AC.

Out of curiosity, changed the return flight to 26/3/2020 and the cheapest is on LX at $2,959 with the TATL operated by AC. The saving is about $300 than the cheapest offered at AC.com.
