Purchasing eupgrades

Hello fellow fliers! I have started traveling to the States from Canada on flight pass (once or twice a month). I got 25K status last year and on track for 35k for 2019 (still a beginner!!). I really wish i had made one of my selections 4 eupgrades for flight pass activities however i didn't think at the time i would be purchasing flight passes. I have gotten quite used to the upgrades to J, and running out of eupgrades. What I wanted to know is if there is a way to purchase them from Air Canada. or any other flier who does not use them? Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to Flyertalk!

Depending on how much you want to spend, you could consider purchasing a latitude flight pass (assuming you purchase flex now) - that would reduce the amount of credits.

As far as I know, you cannot purchase eUpgrade credits.

Once you reach E35K you should be able to choose your benefits and select the new flight pass option I think. (can somebody confirm)

Also - somebody on the same flight can upgrade you (but only on the same day at the airport I believe). What route do you usually fly?

Welcome to Flyertalk but please note that offering to buy eUpgrades from fellow members is not permitted as per site rules as outlined here.

Hitting E35 will award you anywhere from the difference from P25-E35 and the full set of E35 credits and he ability to pick new options.

But only if you meet early qualification. Which is October 15th, ish.

You can also lower credits often by going to a higher flex fare, or comfort too. If normally going off of low flex classes (or even standard with copay). For example YYZ YYT (off memory) is 11 Standard, 7 Flex and 5 Comfort. Though due to branded fares you might find a 6 credit option too. Lat is 1-2 for most NA routes.

Or to cover your bases consider upfaring to ZP. Check bids for direct options, or gamble on an acceptable LMU.
