yup, but your not really missing out on anything, and the concierge, number is very available just ask around.

Big issue since going to the call center for me is that it's hit and miss as to who answers the phone. Some are incredibly inexperienced and will can't even handle basic requests like SDC saying the fare class isn't available. Others will sort me out in a couple minutes.

I arrived at YVR International MLL the other day and asked the lounge agent if there was a concierge around or could she call one.
I was told to call the Concierge number myself which I assumed goes to Toronto? Anyway I waited 15 minutes went back and said " I want to find a concierge, where do I have to physically go to speak to one"
She picked up her phone and called one in the airport that I could speak to.took 15 seconds.
I guess maybe the new rule is that SE ONLY has access by phone or email.

That's always been the rule.

No, it just means you're not entitled to it until you're at the airport.

The one time I could have used one, I was on a paid business class ticket to CDG I asked at the MLL for the concerige and the response was "how do you know about them?". Sure made me want to chase status:rolleyes:

Couple years back, Mrs. YVR (E50K) was declined concierge access at the YVR office on a TATL in J until I showed up a couple minutes later.

SE has full access.

Paid international J only has access at the airport.

Uh.... What is the "instantly" doing in all of this. Seems to me the proper word should be "eventually," no? :D

That's a different question. LOL

Also "eventually" seems to be incorrect. A better word for connecting with a concierge by phone might be "possibly". :D

I guess you hadn't read my post, I added the bolding so you dont miss it this time. I had stated that " I guess maybe the new rule is that SE ONLY has access by phone or email."
Which is different than full access and was the basis for my post to begin with

Just getting back to topic, for once. :D

  • In the airport INTL J (And SE) get personalized service.
  • Over the phone and email, SE gets impersonal service.

Ah, see grammar. You should have written: ONLY SEs get access by phone and email, not SE only have access....
