E-Upgrades used in wrong order

So just noticed in my account:

I have 11 eUpgrades remaining from eUpgrades expiring Feb 2018 while 26 eUpgrades have been removed from my 2019 allotment. Surely the 11 should have been used first, leaving 15 balance to be used from 2019??

AC IT. Brainiacs at failure.

I'd call in and get it fixed. Demand it.

Have you upgraded flights that occur after February?

Have you had any waitlisted flights NOT clear (eups are deducted immediately upon request) while requesting or upgrading any others? That is how I often have leftovers expiring while my new program allocation are already partially used.

Both of these are mechanisms for having Eupgrades used in the wrong order.

1) Earlier wait-listed upgrade request NOT clear while successfully upgrading a later request.
- I had this happen this month. Outbound flight did not get the eupgrade. Return flight eupgraded upon request. Fortunately the return flight still had R-space. I needed to cancel and re-request eupgrade to get AC IT to use the expiring eugprade credits.

2) Eupgrade for a flight on/after Mar 1, 2018.

All sorted out - AC manually adjusted to what they should be.

Recommend to others to check their eUpgrade accounts that the credits have been used the correct order.

It's great that you were able to get it fixed. Happy travels.

Did you ever figure out the root cause of the problem?

I called yesterday to make a change to another ticket - inquired about this also and within 10 minutes or so it had been manually adjusted. Very impressed with how relatively easy it was to get it corrected - disappointed however that I should have to call to fix something that shouldn't have occured.
And no reason provided as to why.

Isn’t the root cause AC IT?

I did an eUp earlier this week and AC IT managed to subtract the remaining 5 2017 credits I had instead of dipping in to my 2018 supply. So they can clearly get it right some of the time...
