it's eerily quiet on the UP Express
practically begging a group of AVgeeks to take over a car late at night. $12cad per hour long round trip is a bargain. The seat pitch is excellent, and the wifi is 100x better than AC Widebody flights.
Haven't found the bar car yet. Might have to get to the Billy Bishop porter lounge first for free munchies and soft drinks.

If you were to take it from union station at this time, you would find the complete opposite. For the two middle stops, the train is packed with west end commuters. It's so damned packed at this time. The same goes for morning trips from Yyz when you get off a relatively later redeye or super early short haul and head downtown.
