Eupgrade threshold question

I see that there's an EYW badge offered for reaching a new status.

Anyway, I'm an E50K and was going to book some flights so that I meet E75K AQD requirements.

At 80K, one gets 10 credits. Must I be E75K before those 10 upgrade credits are deposited in my account?

Should I just take my flights around mid-November in order to maximize the validity of the 10 credits so that they're valid until 2019?

I'm at 74K AQMs
$8300 AQD

Thanks!

Please note this query was split off the EYW thread as it has to do with eUpgrades.

When I saw this thread last week I was originally thinking that you would get the 80K threshold even as E50K, but looking closer at the chart, it seems like you may not:-

https://altitude.aircanada.com/statu...hold-eupgrades

The 80K threshold is only listed under E75K. I'm wondering the same thing about SE100K - will likely cross the 100K threshold in November (for first time) but AQD will be short until December. If I understand the chart correctly, I'll need to hit the AQD to get both the 20 threshold eUps, and the 20 additional for early qualification (if applicable).

Does anyone have experience with either eUp threshold?

I suspect that chart is from when it was "impossible" to hit 80k as E50K.

I suspect that when you hit 80k, you'll get your upgrades.

OP here.. I just checked, and canadiancow was correct: I got my 80k credits. Unfortunately, they expire February 28. For some reason, the 80k credits (about a week and a half since my flights were credited) took longer to be deposited compared to when I passed 60k (2-3 days).

My AQD is still just below $9000, all my summer flights have been accounted, and my dashboard shows (correctly) that I am an E50K.

I'll still do a short AQD run to reach E75k to earn some MLL passes for my sister.

Another eup question.
I'm 1 point short for a PY eup on my return leg from NRT. I need 13, but I only have 12. However my outbound leg that I completed yesterday puts me over 100K AQM, which will give me my additional 20 points. The problem is I return in 4 days. Am I out of luck, or have others had luck with AC crediting the 1 point now, and crediting additional 19 points when the miles are posted. I'm not asking for free points, I've already completed the eligible travel for my threshold.

Since you are SE, contact Concierge and ask to loan you 1 credit.
