The other question you have to ask, is what travel are you planning on doing Jan '17->Feb '18? Because as has been hinted at that makes a difference.

If you're going to fly J and nothing but J paid for by someone else there very little point in anything beyond top tier status imo because you get everything including in ticket price except (easy access to) concierge and maybe slightly closer to front of the line for meal selection.

And, the fact is 25k has pretty much zero value. It's cheaper to pay for the occasional checked bag than it is to do the MR.
