Please accept my apologies if this topic has been discussed thousend times before...

Say I fly from FRA to YUL with AC and book their class "C" - I get 100% miles, no bonus. What happens if I book the same flight with LH's code-share flight no. in LH's discounted Biz class "D"? Do I get the 25% bonus?

Or the other way round, flying LH from YYZ to FRA booking in LH's class "D" - 25% bonus. Same flight booked as AC 9xxx in "C" - no bonus?

Based on what I know, it's 'yes' to both of your question.

Fine, so is there anybody on earth booking "C" with Air Canada on the Canada-Germany routes? On top of that it seems that LH opens up a lot more seats in their "D" than AC does in "C" on the sam flight.

A lot of people that are booked on 'C' are from upgrades. Then comes the RTW and discounted J. (Some discounted are only availble if you buy it under AC flight numbers)
