Not sure, he was at the Canadian Space Agency for a while in some capacity and then he went on to be president of some university ( U of O ?).

Also aboard AC870 last night: former president of Sénégal and current Secretary-General of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie , Abdou Diouf along with former Delegate General of Québec in Paris and current Administrator of the OIF, Clément Duhaime.

Mr. Diouf was escorted onboard the plane at YUL by some DFAIT protocol guys and a Mountie acting as protective detail. Diouf is a VERY tall man, close to 7' !

He left in 2005 to run for Martin in the federal election and lost.

I think you're right that he's a Chancellor of a Canadian university but that's not a full time job.

But anyway.

If he's a President that sure is a full time job. If he's a Chancellor, he doesn't get paid. He became Chancellor of Carleton in 2003.

Which begs the question: why wasn't he on his own personal jet? Granted, it was front of the bus on a 777 but when you got that kind of money... :rolleyes:

Thing with the Thompson's and their money, they didn't feel the need to spend it just for show, I loved that Thompson pere and fil could drop millions on art one night and go to the Golden Griddle (the one in Leaside on Laird) for brunch the next day and almost every weekend.

A few days ago I observed a squirrel running, hell-bent for leather, across the YYZ ramp between pier E and T3.

That reminds me... Tim Roth and Liv Tyler at YYZ a few days ago (shooting a Hulk flick, I'm told). Ms Tyler had an incredible amount of luggage.

Stanley Tucci on the East Beach bus last week. No one noticed who they were rubbing shoulders with for the 25(!) mins we were stuck on the ramp.
