Mini Do in YYC
Just was wondering if anyone in the Calgary area would want to go for wings at Wing's cafe situated at the end of Rwy 34? Dates are pretty much wide open for me.

As it happens, I'll be in YYC completing a few stays at Marriott and will be in town the 15 Nov. Being quite new to the FT world, would enjoy meeting all the faces behind handles.

Hopefully Wing's serves beer too? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif I've never heard of this place myself.
Depending on schedule of course, but sounds pretty good for Nov 15. Normally I'm in town on Fridays and will be home the following week because of US Thanksgiving and it being a short work week for me working for a US based company. I too would like to associate some faces with names for the YYC folks and even some of our YEG brethren who might want to make the long haul south to the warmer climes along with tcook052! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |

Last I had heard Wings was closed. Or their hours were so inconsistent that it was impossible to tell when they were open. Anyways as nice as the view is I would go
somewhere else. |
I was at Wings approx. 3 weeks ago so I am not sure if they have closed down since, I can give them a call. They are pretty much only open for lunch hours during most of the week but I definitely know that evening hours were kept on Thu/Fri for at least the last year.
That being said I am fully open to suggestions for any other place that would suit everyone. ------------------ Rewards Canada Frequent Flier Resource Rewards Canada |

When I lived in Calgary I used to enjoy going to the Spruce Goose restaurant at the Shell FBO. Excellent food and excellent views.
Call ahead for reservations for lunch! |
If the suggested date is Nov15, then it's a wash (no-go) for me, but then again, who wants a University punk like me around, anyway? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

You never know where I will be but Nov 15 won't work.
In Sichuan Province, China now, then off to Ottawa then Africa. But I do stop in at home (YYC) every now and then. |
YYCOllie and Blondebomber, we can always set up other dates to meet. Just let me know and we can have another do here in YYC at another time.

Nov. 15 for lunch sounds great to me. I should be in YUL that week but hope to be taking a morning flight home. Can't be sure this far out about flight times but will confirm closer to date. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
I'm in as I'll be in YYC for 3 weeks in November.
