(And this is not a paid endorsement. I've had it for years. Before that, I had the equally valuable KVS tool and gave that up when they never came out with an OS/X version)

Just buy the darn thing, immerse yourself in data, and your life will be better.
I would if my flying patterns were the same as LY. This year I will be E50 or E75 and this is likely my only long haul where the upg matter. Max other flights are 5hrs so upg is not a must have. So I guess I am cheap :-)
