I miss Ferrari. He gave great advice and for some reason I remember his non-FT job was fixing elevators on cruise ships, which certainly involves a lot of waiting. And BTW, Andrew Yiu was Empess (from Jagboi's correction below)in the early days when he didn't work for AC. I always assumed that the weird royal name was a tribute to the pompous CP tradition of naming its ships as Empresses. Now that CP only has trains that are all called Andrew Yiu. As for me, I an either a stealth bomber or vitamin or both. Parnel had a way being a bit unfriendly, right. And Shore9 was the kid who knew everything.

CP named the the trans ocean ships as "Empress" class, e.g. Empress of Canada. The costal ships, such as the ones that did the Seattle - Vancouver- Victoria triangle and went up to Alaska were the "Princess" class. These were smaller than "Empress" ships. When CP Air was created, the larger planes were also named "Empress of ...". Example here: http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6936614&nseq=1 The airport lounges were called the Empress Lounges. |

To be pedantic, I'm 99% sure Andrew was Empress.

Having met AY before he began working for AC, I can confirm that this is true. Others will also be able to confirm this as well.
To confirm, and a blast from the past http://s21.postimg.cc/qsko5ou0n/image.png |

You mean before the gender realignment and sex change operation. But we're not supposed to post such personal details according to the ToS. Of course, s/he and Ferrari really cleaned up when they discovered the Destina.ca fare glitch between SYD-YVR-HNL-YVR-LHR rtn which upgraded for one SWU from a V-fare back in the good old days.
Ah, them good 'old days... actually, I think this entire thread is skirting ToS, but the mods were kind enough to let us speak a bit more openly about past/former members... |

You went from Europe to "somewhere over Lake Michigan" in 75 minutes? One of Elon Musk's contraptions?
On Wednesday I did AC121, AC223, and then AC162. Then Thursday night I did AC882. Friday was SN2258. :) |
I'm back!
Baby and mom are doing well. Baby's now 2 months adjusted age. Developing seemingly normally, smiles and coos now. The last 5 months have been hard, but things are definitely better and better each day. Still at 21k status miles for the year, 12 segments... I have some travels come fall, so I will hit P25k, maybe E35k at year end. I will be exploring flight passes to try to keep myself up front for when I need to travel for work. Any word on the 2016 program changes yet? :P |
