I did not have any problem on my last ACr flight a few weeks ago. Also no problem in looking up my reservation and the Flight Status delay notification actually worked too.

Isn't the change fee usually around $200?

Either way, you want an actual benefit, and saving $200 is definitely a benefit.

These were Aeroplan Redemption Rewards, am I able to purchase OMW for redemption/reward flights?

Also if I purchased OMW the concierge wouldn't have brushed me off and helped the other SE families that were behind me in line? To confirm purchasing OMW allows better access to the concierge???

From my understanding, if i'm wrong shoot me, but OMW gives you a phone # to a separate line. You wouldn't be with the concierge people dealing with noob SE's. :D :D :D

PS not sure if you can buy OMW on a AE redemption tho

Interesting details in the fine print:

"The On My Way service is available only through the On My Way desk. No other Air Canada employees are equipped to provide specialized On My Way service. If an On My Way customer fails to call the On My Way desk and chooses to call Air Canada Reservations or request service from an Airport Customer Service agent, the customer will receive the same standard service as that provided to all Air Canada customers who have not purchased the On My Way service."
