I would say that's a bit cheeky. I would also say that they really have no taste when it comes to baked goods.

Yet another reason why we can't have nice things....

Principles have all been thrown out the window... treating cookies like cash money...

I Love Spring Break...

Guy in the YYZ Cafe had his daughters playing on the floor in front of the yogurt/fruit etc. coolers, doing "look at me Grandma" facetimes. Totally oblivious to the fact that he / they were blocking people (like me) from accessing anything.

He looked suitablely chagrined when I said "excuse me" but really, is everything a playground for your kid?

They are still doing the call at max volume at the other end of the Café from me. Lots of dirty looks from their neighbours.

Spring break is the worst time to travel and not just in the MLL. I spent a couple of nights last week in a hotel that offered a complimentary breakfast. Each morning featured screaming kids, blaring tablets and parents that couldn't care less. I ignored a sign saying food was not to be taken out of the dining area and took it to my room.

Agreed. If I have to travel during spring break, I try to avoid any hotel with free breakfast or a pool

Nothing was as wonderful as waiting to board a flight from AUA. Grandmother on voicechat speakerphone talking to her 2 year old grandaughter about her bowl movements. Not talking, YELLING.

How people have lost any sense of others around them is quite interesting

I was in a lounge yesterday, a man was video-calling with his kids a few seats away from me. Neither were particularly loud, no more than if two people were having a conversation both sat there, so it didn't bother me.
But I was amused when one of the kids, I guess around 5 yrs old judging by the voice said:
"I hope your plane flies really fast Daddy so I see you soon. But not too fast that it crashes and explodes. Then you'd be dead!"

I just went places that Spring Breakers don't go to. Except for the ones on private jets that is, and they are tolerable in small numbers.

Many on this thread would support this behaviour. I've alreeady chirped about " Food is for consumption in the MLL only " , only to be told it fine to take stuff.

I initially read this as the kids were sitting a few seats away from the man and became incensed that people actually do this.

Passenger etiquette today is different from years past

Yesterday at the Transborder MLL at YVR this child used the MLL as a playground, running back and forth and of course yelling, you have to have yelling with running. I watched while both mom & dad were busy on their cell phones, and I am sure it was important stuff as they were both enjoying their screen time, while their child played jungle gym on the chairs with dad participating as much as he could, while on the phone. The best part is when mom gave the child more cookies, nothing like feeding this hyperactive, rambunctious kid more sugar, and when one cookie fell to the ground, well it appeared this was in his wheelhouse. He appeared to take great pride and skilled effort in grinding that cookie into the floor. I suspect he has done this before by the skill and determination he had in ensuring that the cookie was completely demolished.

Burning off a little steam before the flight is one thing, but letting your kid make a huge mess for the staff to clean up is something else. That should be immediate removal with a 1 year ban.

Keep in mind those parents actually have to have that child. Like 24/7.

You can deal with it for an hour.

No. Many behaviours can and should be corrected.

Just like untrained dogs don't belong in unleashed dog parks, children people with behavioural problems should not be allowed in certain public areas.
