Missing segments (not miles)
Just wondering what the experience was out there for fixing missing segments?
I got the miles fixed ages ago (it was for flights in January), and noticed that in fixing the miles they dropped segments, but figured maybe it'd be okay and by year end I'd have flown enough not to push the matter. Plans changed and now I need those segments to maintain status for next year - do I contact AE or AC in this case?? |
Went through something similar. You have to call AE, and a supervisor will look into it. THen they manually process your status.

Thanks, that was the answer I was afraid of!! Things never seem to go smoothly when it's AE.

AP process time for missing flight credits
The latest "word" from AP is that requests for missing credits will be reviewed within 60 business days:
ALL email requests will be reviewed within 60 business days. Please note it may take up to 8-10 additional weeks for the mileage credit to appear in your account as some partner airlines require time to validate the mileage request. Sounds like they are so backed up its taking 6 months to process requests! |
Processing time has been brutal - I've been waiting on a Miles/ Segment correction since early October - AE response is "its been escalated with AC". Since I have no confidence they were going to work it out anytime soon, I flew an extra segment on my last trip from LGA rather than taking the direct so that I'm not relying on that missing segment to hit 75k.

When I called the Aeroplan # on the back of my Altitude card in early December, I was told that at the end of December a "manual" count would be done on segments flown and any error would be rectified then.
I am not exactly confident in this process, but that's the only answer I got, so I'll wait until mid-January before trying to push the issue further. |
