E75 - a failed SE?
You know how they say that Jupiter is a failed sun? Aren't E75's failed SE's? I frown upon these people that do MR's and want the same status as me...
|
Good point. I personally feel that AC should start adding tiers to SE based on spend.
How about SE CHARITY, SAPPHIRE, TITANIUM and the highest category, SSE (super SUPER elite). Then they can start really distinguishing between those who achieve the status through status runs, and those who really add value to the brand. Plus, they could make nice charity luggage tags. |
The fact that someone doesn't spend as much time in an airplane as you does not make them a failure. If achieving S100K is important to them, let them do what they must to get there. A MR is simply putting on the necessary miles.

Ah, I see you're back. And started a new thread. I'm still laughing from your post in the other thread and I'm still offering to shake you hand in a MLL, but now I've upped the requirement - not only must you wear a sign, but also a bell.

Stop complaining and start flying. And I posted a reply there for you:D |

If only AC could add some meaningful benefits to the E75 tier, maybe they would not do as much MRs to get to SE!

Oh, and the only people that would call Jupiter a failed sun are those that know nothing about Jupiter. |

Wow, its comments like this I often wonder why my friends and I put our lives on the line when we were fighting for our country, to defend our way of life. I guess in all societies we have areas to improve on. Although I am SE, I be sure to return your salute if I see it! |

If that's your thing than great, but I also think that many super elites have "failed" in life. (natural normal meaning)***I am using your definition, not mine. (saying that if one doesn't spend their life flying that they are a failure). That's the glass half full half empty view. And you are the one who started this judging comment. Enjoy life in a tin tube by yourself feeling superior to everyone else. What's next? Lets judge income level. I'd love to have a go at that. See how ridiculous that sounds? Mr. DYKWIA... |

Well, that's just sad. Perhaps you have failed at life's natural meaning. Having kids, a strong marriage are things that are much harder to do for a SE. Most on my team have lost their marriages due to extensive flying.
I'd rather take the $ saved from NOT needing to raise children to requalify for SE :D Plus, no idea why rational men would willingly choose to marry and lose their freedom  |
Oh god this thread...

Ah so Joe Kickass found flyertalk?

Personally, I think it's time to abolish all status tiers below the rank of SE. We all know that FF benefits are expensive, so really AC should stop wasting money on the failures so that they can focus their resources and restore benefits to SEs. An E35 isn't fit to breathe the same air as the Princes of the Airline.

If people want to give money to a faceless company for a baggage tag and to board before others, then great - totally respect that. (or to feel the love of concierges, although I can feel the love of a hot female for much less, just saying). He has his opinion, I have mine. I fly for work, not pleasure... |

Not sure if you are serious or not, but if you are, I hope this helps: I used to be like you, always worrying about my benefits from AC (cue the devaluations) and what I "get" from the airline (and looking at 35K's like they don't deserve to breathe the same air as me). I thought about doing a MR to SE and then it hit me. What the hell has AC done to me? I'm worrying about FF benefits and getting all worked up? I then laughed (at myself) and looked at my passion (aviation) a whole lot differently - and as objectively as possible. I hope you find that in your life one day. Otherwise you'll end up like Ryan Bingham. Sure, your name (well actually yours wont) may be on the side of a plane. But you are nothing compared to some FTers on here who put your miles in 4 months (now that's respect - and i've seen the proof). (and that's by your definition, since you care so much about your Altitude status). You're a rounding error to the true legends on FT. I hope that this post helps you find your peace. And those legends - pfft they could care less about the FF benefits as it doesn't even affect them - since they fly THAT much. They don't even care about priority boarding since they've worked down their entire process to the exact minute. Are they condescending as per your post? Nope, their attitude is truly the opposite. And I hold them in the highest regard because of the miles they put up (and how easily they make that look) and because of their attitude. Have fun in the skies! |
As a paid J cabin traveller I can’t stand being seated next to these FFM’s (frequent flyer mooches). They reek of entitlement and MLL pasta… ;)

E75 - a failed SE?
This is hilarious.

"Year after year I fly 200k+"
Now, outside of FT, this would be the definition of sad. |
Rule # 1 on the forum....
Don"t feed the trolls. :) |
what a sad thread....to think some folks get so much satisfaction out of boarding first....LOL.

This thread should have been titled "A Modest Proposal for Preventing the E75 From Being a Burden to SEs and Making Them Beneficial to the Airline"

Stop complaining and start flying. I know from reading this thread and the other one where similar comments were posted by the same person, that it seems a small number of us didn't take him/her seriously, and just decided to have some fun with it. Others got all worked up. For what? Sometimes you just have to step back, forget about who is a troll or not, or serious or not, and do what I did, throw the ball back onto the field. :D P.S. The little exchange was lots of fun. I am sure chaptwo, OilyDuck, margauxleah and Prewrappedbacon got it, well, at least they also laughed Just saying people..... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-c...015-a-236.html |
