AC eUpgrade BS
Hello fellow FTers,
I have finally gotten proof that AC is telling us a load of BS about eUpgrades. During OLCI, my coworker (no status) gets LMU option, with R0, while my eUpgrade hasn't cleared yet. SO DISAPPOINTED AC! |
keep screendumps/proofs and post it on FT/email to AC
|
I believe this is the second report of this happening recently of FT. Can't find the other thread at the moment but it was within the last 2 weeks. Very Disappointing!! I guess this the 2012 Enhancement:td:

I just took screenshots. How do I post this without too much time researching the topic?

As they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words. The LMU total is for 2 passengers (coworker and wife), so at least 2 passengers can get upgraded using LMU, but an AC E can't get cleared for eUpgrade. Nice work!

Do LMU's come out of the R stock or the J stock?

As far as R goes it appears that there is no relation either. Case in point, my flight this morning showed R=3 and when I went through the OLCI process LMU was not offered. AClover |
First off, there are over a dozen open seats on this flight. Secondly, how many people sitting in the back are really going to pay $900+ for a breakfast or lunch in a pod? That's 4-1/2 times what they'd paid for their Tango or T+ fare. Unless there are a dozen SEs and Es on this flight (highly unlikely on a Saturday), the upgrade will go through at the airport.
Under the circumstances, AC will try to bleed every nickel it can from open J seats before giving more away, but there will be few takers. If your upgrade does not go through tomorrow, then I would certainly feel you have grounds to complain, but on the other hand AC will have earned another $11K by selling these J seats (again highly unlikely). |
SH,
You are confusing the issue (with musings about pricing and value). Please don't. Leave this as the simple question posed by djjaguar64. |

I too would be very interested in an honest answer from AC on what type of circumstances might lead to this increasingly common situation.
