It occurs to me another possible benefit (or downside, depending on how you look at it) is that AC might allow us to use our ecerts for other benefits aside from upgrades. e.g. they could make lounge passes cost one ecert credit.

Oh Gawd yes!! It hadn't occurred to me that was a danger. I uninstall flash from all my computers first thing. It makes them crash so much less and run so much faster.

I'm a bit confused though. I hadn't noticed any parts of aeroplan's web site that wasn't working due to my uninstalling flash. The award flight search is all ajaxy stuff.

Use flashblock. That allows you to enable flash selectively, either by clicking on an applet or enabling it for a specific web site.

+1. Along with the Android tablets and smarphones, I should think. (PS use a Blackberry and always will until somebody makes a better keyboard).

Very intrigued by eupgrade credit system; looking forward to details but it is a while away yet (and if general software development guidelines apply, and they certainly have to AC IT before, it won't be on time anyway).

E-Upgrade Credits...good, bad, or ugly?

That is the burning question I have

I'm really hoping that whatever e-upgrade credit system AC has developed will not cut the number of overall upgrades that we currenlty receive. I'll be very disapointed if I have to use a disporportionate number of credits to upgrade from T+ compared to Lattitude fare thus resulting in an overall decrease in the number of upgrades I'm able to request. As E, I'm expecting to be able to choose e-upgrade credits equal to 2xSSWU, and 2xSWU or 4xNAU.

The upgrades are one of the main reason I choose to spend my own money AC to get status (Yes I do this all on my own dime...will be just shy of 55 000Status Miles of which 54 000 is on AC). Even though I'm only E I've been able to use up most of my u/g cert over the few years. Buying a Lattitude fare is out of the question for me since I'm not traveling for work or billing clients.

Both Ms epost77 and I will be E next year and we hope we made the right decision to spend on AC:rolleyes: Hears hoping to no devaluation in the AC Top Tier programs!!!

Wow, that answers a lot of questions except for one.

How many credits does a P, E and SE get to start the year?

EDIT: Nevermind, those are published too on Aeroplan's site.

Looks interesting... I'm surprised this place isn't a lot busier given most of the information for 2011 is now out there for review.
